Burglar radar
Current burglary situation
Our burglary radar provides weekly information on where burglaries are taking place in the Bonn police district.

Since 2013, the number of domestic burglaries in Bonn and the region has fallen continuously and has more than halved since then.

We inform you about the ongoing development of burglary crime with the help of the residential burglary radar (download on the right). The graph shows the residential burglaries (including attempts) of the past week. A more detailed presentation of the crime scenes is not possible for data protection reasons.

In the past period (18.06. to 25.06.2024), burglars failed nine times against well-secured windows and doors. On the other hand, five completed burglaries were reported to us (red needles = completed burglaries; yellow needles = attempts).

We will inform you below not only about ways to protect yourself against burglary, but also about support measures to finance technical measures for owners and tenants:

Free advice on burglary protection

Good burglary protection and informing the police quickly if you notice anything suspicious make life difficult for potential perpetrators. We therefore recommend the triad:

Put a stop to burglars! How do you do that? Our prevention specialists from Bonn Police Headquarters, Königswinterer Strasse 500, Crime Prevention and Victim Protection Department, will show you in their presentations, individual consultations
and group consultations at police headquarters.

Our consultations are free of charge.
