During the summer months, the banks of the Rhine in Bonn near the city center increasingly become a meeting place for groups of partying young people and adolescents from Bonn and the surrounding area. Last year, the behavior of large groups of people led to a high volume of complaints from local residents - the police have also currently received complaints from residents on the left bank of the Rhine, who complain in particular about the disturbing noise of people staying there in the late evening hours and into the night.
According to previous findings, the mostly younger people meet regularly along the promenade on the left bank of the Rhine when the weather is good, especially at weekends. Alcohol-related altercations between individuals occur here time and again. Recently, large groups of people have been hanging out in the Brassertufer/Erzbergerufer area in the late evening and night hours.
The Bonn police will implement presence and control measures in the Rhine bank areas with the Brassertufer as a focus area.
